Financial Report: Larry presented the financial statement. Checking balance= $1,852.01 and savings balance= $6,071.39. Larry was estimating that the David Wheaton event cost about $1,400 net of admission cost. We also received $250 from ARMA, who co-sponsored, in support.
Committee Reports:
Membership Committee- We received two renewals. We are asking the Membership Committee to provide thoughts or ideas, if any, as to how we could get better attendance at our training events. Our attendance has been predominately from other organizations or non-members. Maybe they could work with training and development to brainstorm for future events.
Silent Auction-
Social Events Committee- Eunice and Marnie relayed to Paula that the wine tasting event has been cancelled. They are working on a social event for after the BSC Energy Center For Excellence Tour, details to follow.
Training & Development- Treva reported that about 70 attended the David wheaton Event and feedback has been very good. Congratulations on a successful event. Treva has planned the BSC Tour of the Energy Center For Excellence for June 11th.
Communications- Paypal has been tested and appears that everything is working for online registration and payment for membership dues.
Miscellaneous Business- Brief discussion on doing a charitable event or community relations, nothing decided.
Our next meeting will be at 11:30 am Monday, May 11th, 2009 at the Chamber Conference room.
