Without a quorum, no votes or official action was taken. This meeting was for information sharing purposes.

  1. Secretary’s Report: Paula shared the April meeting minutes.

  2. Treasurer’s Report: Gabe shared the report received from Michelle. LBMAA has $15,000+ in the bank. There was some discussion on possible uses for this money:

    1. Expenses to cover LBMAA president to attend national conference

    2. Donation to local cause?

    3. Use for possible speaker/conference

  3. Committee Reports:

    1. Membership – no report
    2. Social Events/Training & Development –

      1. Past Events:

        1. 4/22 Earth Day – Sertoma Park. There were 18 attendees. Everyone enjoyed the program from Peggy Netzer, NDSU Extension.

      2. Upcoming Events:

        1. 5/14/15 Leadership Field Projects – 8:15-11:00

        2. 5/20/15 Leadership Graduation

          1. LBMAA Distinguished Alumni – Joyce HInman (shhh – secret)

        3. 5/21/15 Riverboat 3:30-5:00 – Tickets still being sold. Susie will send reminders. Will also be announced at Field Project presentations and at graduation.

        4. 5/22/15 Leadership Review – brainstorming for 2015-16.

      3. Other Event Ideas

        1. -New Hillside Pool Bis Parks Overview (July, pending)

        2. Legislators Wrap Up (June). Susie will check available dates. Melissa will contact a possible emcee and four Bismarck-Mandan legislators.

        3. September will be the introduction of the new class and LBMAA annual meeting. We should have Oct/Nov/Dec programs set by this meeting to announce them to the attendees.

        4. October idea – a Leadership Expo, to learn about professional and volunteer opportunities with the Chamber and with other local groups – arts, culture, social, etc.

        5. Other future topics:

          1. -Personality Training / Generation Training

          2. -Stem (Science, Technology, engineering, math)

          3. -Housing Needs

          4. -Human Trafficking

          5. -Legacy High School tour (after October)

    3. Communications & Public Relations – Jennifer will be sending out the next newsletter shortly

  4. Old Business:

    -Nothing to report at this time.

  1. New Business:
