Committee Reports –
Membership
Melissa Hammond called all remaining members that were active in 2012. There was discussion on having a membership drive but it was decided that the timing of such a drive should coincide with the annual meeting in order for members to get a full year’s worth of value.
Social Events/Training & Development
Emergency Services event at Fraine Barracks was successful. Around 32 people attended. Probably would be a good event to sprinkle in every couple of years but wouldn’t need to be an annual occurrence.
Upcoming Events:
March City Growth Management: Brad Krogstad lead. Date is March 13th at 11:30 at KLJ. Brad will contact Kelvin regarding inviting the local issues committee
April - Jennifer indicated Drew Wrigley would be available to speak. It was decided to see if Drew could speak at leadership graduation on May 21st instead and hold the commissioner roundtable in April. Additional discussion will need to be held over email in terms of assigning LBMAA board members to call up commissioners to invite. Need to finalize a location and date first.
May – Paula let Melissa A know that Doug Burgum is unavailable. Kelvin was thinking of other options for a leadership graduation speaker.
June – Golf
July through August – No events in the summer
Communications & Public Relations – Jennifer
Jennifer presented a draft of the quarterly newsletter. It is planned to go out on the 15th of Feb, may, Aug and Nov. Susie has pictures of past events and they should be incorporated into the newsletter to show what we’ve been up to.
Silent Auction/Fundraising – Melissa
There was discussion on holding some sort of event on a nice weather spring Friday afternoon. The event would charge a cover of some sort and would include entertainment of some sort (band, battle of the bands?). It was discussed that it would be hard to plan an outside event far in advance in the springtime due to unpredictable weather. Brad mentioned that the riverboat could be a venue that provides an outdoor atmosphere as well as indoor protection. Melissa H will look into this.
Old Business:

Next Meeting – 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 10 at A&B Pizza North.
