Secretary’s Report –May minutes posted

Treasurer’s Report – as of 5/31/12    Checking:  $1002.80; Savings:  $7736.07

Social Events/Training & Development

• Upcoming Events
  • June 20^th – noon to 1pm at KLJ – Traffic Trends
    • Mark Berg, Bismarck City Traffic engineer
    • $5 for lunch
  • Sept 19 – 4 to 7pm at Chamber – LBMAA Annual Meeting
    • 4:30pm Board Meeting
    • 5pm Annual Meeting
    • 5:30-7pm Social with new class
  • December 11 – 5 to 8pm at Civic Center  - Chamber Holiday Mixer
    • LBMAA Silent Auction
  • Winter event in Jan/Feb – local issues or healthcare panel

• Marnie Piehl has resigned from committee
• Brochure needs review and updates – do we need a printed brochure

• Moving under Chamber umbrella is on hold until fall

New Business

Board vacancy

• Marnie Piehl has stepped off of the board and committees, creating vacancy
• Bylaws Article III state:  “A vacancy occurring on the Board of Trustees during any term shall remain vacant until the annual meeting unless the Board directs the nominating Committee to recommend an appointee at an earlier time. At such time it shall be filled by the Board of Trustees at the recommendation of such Nominating Committee. Such successor trustee shall fill the unexpired term of his/her predecessor and shall thereafter be eligible for election to two consecutive terms under the terms of these Bylaws.”
