Financial Report: presented by Tami Emter; approved (m/s Kirchmeier; Beard)
• Checking Account Balance (9/15/09) = $2709.66; Savings Account Balance (9/15/09) = $6086.71
• Website has been updated to show those with current memberships. Membership is at 67.

Action Items

Standing Committees
Discussion:
• Have some chairs identified and some members
• Communications has no chair nor members
• Need more committee members and fresh faces

Action/Decision:
• email entire membership with call to serve; provide committee description
• Board members identify which committees to join

Membership
Discussion:
• Ideas for increasing renewals
o have active member call classmates that have not registered this year
o call those who have renewed in past, but not this year
o mail renewal form

Annual Meeting Debrief
Discussion:
• Concern raised about the process of welcoming newest class to annual meeting
• Food was good; location good
• Election process worked smoothly

Action/Decision:
• Remember to welcome the current class members who attend.
• Assign a buddy to help introduce the new class members to alumni.

Training Event “Managing Risk in a Changing World”
Discussion:
• enrollment is 10; need 40 to break even
• negotiating speaker costs; likely to cancel
• Concerns about lack of participation in training events
• Possible draws: Father Shea
• Refunds do cost us the expense of Paypal

Action/Decision:
• Plan to cancel unless there is cancellation penalty with speaker

Wine Tasting
Action/Decision: another email will go out promoting the wine tasting

Silent Auction
Discussion:
• Reviewed call sheets – are these current?
• need to attract new businesses with items different from years before.

Action/Decision:
• Susie will send a single email highlighting key events like the auction and membership renewal
• Board members took call sheets to begin soliciting auction items

Pumpkin Patch Volunteer Day
Discussion: no participation
